PromptPro Optimizer is designed to function without collecting any sensitive or private user data.

2. Local Storage

The extension uses Chrome’s local storage to store basic settings such as:

Your selected prompt style (e.g., concise, instructive, creative)
Recently used prompts (for convenience)

This data is stored locally on your device only and is never shared or transmitted.

3. Use of External APIs

If you connect the extension to a third-party AI service such as OpenAI or Claude using your own API key, your prompts are sent directly from your browser to that service. PromptPro does not view, intercept, or store any of this data.

You are responsible for reviewing the privacy policies of the third-party services you choose to connect.

4. Permissions

The extension requests limited permissions:

Storage: to save local preferences
ActiveTab: for future optional features (e.g., inserting prompts)
Scripting: for future on-page enhancements

We do not use these permissions to track or collect any browsing activity.

5. No Remote Code

All code in PromptPro Optimizer is self-contained within the extension. We do not use remote code, external JavaScript, or dynamic eval() functions. This reduces security risks and ensures transparency.

6. Data Security

Because PromptPro does not collect or transmit data, there is minimal risk of data breaches. We still follow best practices to secure local functionality and APIs.
